Episode #61: Ask Dr. Mark!

When I was diagnosed with T1D 22 years ago, I had so many questions. What can I eat? Can I travel? What will exercise do to my blood sugar?

I was lucky that I had a very patient doctor who answered all of my questions (and who even gave me her cell phone number so I could ask anytime!).

But when it came to asking questions about how diabetes was affecting my mental health, I had nowhere to turn. I don’t even think I even would have known what questions to ask.

Now 20 years later, there is a lot more information out there about T1D and mental health. People reach out and ask me questions all the time, and I want to make sure my answers can reach as many folks as possible!

So I decided to answer some of your questions on the latest episode of The Diabetes Psychologist Podcast.

In this episode of my podcast, I answer YOUR questions about:

  • The relationship between T1D and anger
  • Why T1D burnout doesn’t go away
  • How to accept that T1D is forever
  • What to do if you don’t want support
